A Dallas bride is celebrating her wedding with a beauty plan that’s the brainchild of the bride’s new boss.
Sharon Coyle, who co-stars on the popular CBS show “The Wedding Show,” had a plan for the reception, which included a flower bouquet for the groom, a champagne toast and a champagne reception to celebrate the couple’s nuptials.
“It was such a huge hit, it’s like a big wedding party, and we were all so excited and excited to celebrate our wedding,” she told ABC News’ Diane Sawyer.
“This was so special, and now that we have our wedding planned, I think we should be able to show the world what we had.”
Coyle said her boss, the show’s host, Chris Kress, was inspired to come up with the idea after seeing a video of a wedding party in Mexico where the bride and groom shared a bouquet and cake for their reception.
“They had champagne and a bouquets and all these other things.
I remember thinking, ‘Wow, that’s a great idea,'” she said.
Kress said he knew the plan would be a hit when he saw the reception.
The bride, who asked not to be named, said she wanted to use the idea to help people understand what she’d gone through in the past to get through it.
Coyle, whose first husband was a military veteran, said the idea was born after a friend of hers and her husband had a rough marriage.
“I was really depressed because we were divorced, so I just wanted to share that with people, and I thought, ‘If I can do that to my husband and my kids, then I can share it with the world,'” she told Sawyer.
Coyne said the plan started off as a joke but it evolved into a real-life inspiration.
The wedding show co.host, who lives in Texas, has since become an executive producer of the show, and her wife, who works in marketing, is now a producer.
